We cast square mild steel billets
of cross-section 130 x 130 sq mm
through a continuous caster. The billets are manufactured by induction furnace route. The chemical properties are strictly maintained to deliver the desired quality in the required length.

We Offer Billets of the Following Cross Sections:

130 x 130 mm

We cast square mild steel billets of cross-section 130 x 130 sq mm through a continuous caster. The billets are manufactured by induction furnace route. The chemical properties are strictly maintained to deliver the desired quality in the required length.

HOW WE MAKE OUR BILLETS

❚  Billets are manufactured as per IS standards (2831-2012) and are used to manufacture TMT Re-Bars.

 

❚  A mixture of Sponge Iron, DRI is fed into induction furnaces of 22 and 30 MT in a steel melting shop to produce supreme quality mild steel.

 

❚  After rigorous treatment and chemical analysis, the molten steel is cast into square billets of the desired cross-section in high-speed CONCAST [CCM (Continuous Casting Machine)].

 

❚  The cast steel is cooled with the help of regulated water and air pressure to form billets of the accurate cross-section.

 

❚  As the billets pass towards the cooling bed, they are accurately cut into the required lengths by high accuracy shearing machines. Finally, the hot billets are laid on the insulated roller transfer tables to be transported to the rolling mill.

We use modern chemical analysis equipment to test and record the chemical composition of our billets. This helps us find that the steel has required chemical properties or not.

German-made Spectrometer for quick and accurate analysis

Time is critical. To ensure timely deliveries without compromising quality, we use a Spectrometer that helps in fast, accurate, and reliable quality checks.

level control in
caster

We use automatic mould level control to maintain an appropriate formulation and consistent distribution of mould flux.

Billet macro analysis for internal structure control

Macro analysis is performed on the billets to evaluate the quality and consistency of the internal structure.
