Steel Properties

Emphasizing the importance of demonstrating steel properties such as ductility, bendability, strength, and resilience in the designs.

Designing Sculpture While Showcasing Any Of SDGs & Strength Of Steel

Integration of SDGs:

The competition emphasizes the importance of incorporating elements or symbols representing the chosen SDG into the design to raise awareness and promote action towards achieving global sustainability targets.

Storytelling for Sustainability:

Participants are encouraged to use storytelling to promote sustainability and showcase the relevance of their designs to the chosen SDGs

  • Specific, the size of the model to be of Maximum 2 meters (width) by 2 meters (length) by 2 meters (height).
  • Ensure that participants adhere strictly not to exceed the specified dimensions to maintain consistency and fairness in judging.

2. Materials:

  • It is mandatory for Participants to use a combination of materials, with minimum 80% of the model made from Thermo-Mechanically Treated (TMT) bars (any size) and 20% from any other material of their choice.
  • TMT rebars and binding wires will be provided by Kalika Steel.

3. Presentation of Steel Properties:

  • The structure should clearly demonstrate steel properties such as ductility, bendability, strength, and resilience.
  • Participants are encouraged to incorporate features that showcase the unique characteristics of steel, such as curved or twisted elements, to highlight its flexibility and versatility.

4. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • Each structure must clearly communicate at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations.
  • Participants should creatively integrate elements or symbols representing the chosen SDG into their design to raise awareness and promote action towards achieving global sustainability targets.
